Santana Dotson, a former defensive lineman for the Super Bowl XXXI Champion Green Bay Packers began his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1992. Santana played one season with the Washington Redskins. He was named NFL Defensive Rookie of The Year. He had a standout collegiate career at Baylor University – Waco, TX. He is a member of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and Baylor Hall of Fame.

Mr. Dotson sits on the Board of Directors for Texas Orthopedic Hospital and is the celebrity spokesperson for Project Love Santa’s Angels, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization for kids.

In 1998, he started the Celebrity Fundraiser Weekend. He felt that he could make a larger impact by collaborating with athletes, businesses, media, and entertainers. The weekend revolves around a celebrity pool tournament, silent auction, youth sports camp, after party and crawfish boil.

Santana has been fortunate in achieving his goals and has made a commitment to help others. The Santana Dotson Foundation was established in 1995. His goal was to provide the financial and emotional support needed by economically challenged yet deserving high school students. Santana has supported this cause every year since its inception.

The Santana Dotson Foundation was established in 1995 to provide the financial and emotional support needed by challenged, yet deserving high school students to realize their dreams of a college education. The Foundation is able to meet its goals with the assistance of All Sports Community Service, Inc., a non-profit organization founded by former Chicago Bear, Tyrone Keys, and Jerry Ulm, Sr., to serve “at-risk” youth. It is based out of Tampa Florida, where Santana played his first four years in the NFL as a starting defensive lineman for the Buccaneers.

The Santana Dotson Foundation has awarded seven scholarships at $1,000.00 per student, per year since its inception. The Foundation has also assisted the students via the All Sports Community Service, Inc. with:

  • Academic tutoring
  • SAT and ACT testing preparation
  • Employment opportunities for students wishing to work to help support their families.
  • Community service- All participants are required to perform a minimum of 10 hours of community service per semester.
  • College retention program- All college students are able to seek help from the All Sports staff by using their toll-free telephone number

The SANTANA DOTSON FOUNDATION is committed to helping economically challenged students in urban and rural communities to obtain an enhanced quality of life through educational scholarships and enrichment programs resulting in a self-sufficient community leader giving back to society in abundance.

AFFILIATIONS:

The Foundation is able to meet its goals under the umbrella of All Sports Community Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) a non-profit charitable organization non profit organization founded by former Chicago Bear, Tyrone Keys, and Jerry Ulm, Sr. All Sports is based out of Tampa Florida where Santana started his NFL career. It is supported by NFL Charities and is being considered a national program model.
